Alone in the woods

I take a deep breath and glance behind me
There he is with his sharp daggar
I run grasping for my last breaths
He's getting closer
I stumble and trip over a vine
It left a mark of blood that would never be devine
He catches up and slashes his daggar at me
It cuts the soft skin on my side

Sweat dripping down my face
I'm running at a slower pace
My wound bleeds all over the never ending world of dirt
My tears of pain blend in with the sweat
I continue running

My life is coming to an end is all i can think
He catches up again
This time getting my stomach
I walk a little slower now
He was like the predator and i was the prey
I scream in fury and pain
There my body strewn and layn
In the dirt
Theres no telling if i was alive or i was just distinctly hurt

He comes to my side and his dog laps up my blood
I feel the soft warm tounge
I cry again
I turn and see the man
He looked down
And i got up and ran

He pounces, dives and pins
He smiles and thinks he wins
I look up into his face of glory
Then right past his shoulder is a light
My panting got lighter and my heart got a little slower
My last thought was at least the Nightmare was over

I know why he did this
This dark man
He was the one I killed
With my car
He was back for revenge
I again feel the sharp pain dive into my worn skin
Over and over
Till I take my last breath and say my last words
"I'm Sorry"
